We had a fantastic stay at La Perla! The place was perfectly situated with beautiful access to the waters of Lake Erie right from the backyard. The home was fully stocked with every kitchen essential. The space was beautifully curated and ultra clean. We felt very much at home on our long weekend stay. Communication with the host was especially kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay. All of the positive reviews u read are all spot on. Very thoughtful host is what stood out to me. U can tell by her property that everything is thought out. The decor was eclectic filled with lots of character great combo of old and new! We definitely will b back. By far the best Airbnb we have stayed at:) Thank u for making our trip so delightful!

From the moment we walked in we knew this home was going to be special- Check in was a breeze with the coded entry- The first thing you see is the lake through the rear patio doors , was breathtaking. Home was in pristine condition, my wife and I have no complaints and would happily return in the near future- Thanks to the host for the wine, chocolate and the pancake mix with all included ingredients- they were delicious.

Absolutely beautiful beautiful stay. Nothing negative to say at all. We loved the beautiful view outside of the lake and the seating area. The welcome gift and special touches in the kitchen and the fridge. I swear every Airbnb I go to they keep getting better and better. This is the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in this far. All around impressive.

Melissa was an incredible host and La Perla was a slice of heaven on the water.

It was so beautifully decorated, so comfortable and cozy, peaceful and serene, and although there are neighbours it felt very private.  From the moment we arrived we felt so welcomed and pampered. She had left us wine, chocolates, homemade pancake mix and snacks.  My husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at La Perla and Melissa set us up with a private Chef who I would highly recommend. The entire experience was outstanding.  Melissa was always responsive and gave many recommendations of local wineries, great restaurants and cycling trails.  We have stayed at many Air BnBs but Melissa and La Perla were hands down the best.  We will book again and recommend La Perla to our friends and family as it is such a beautiful place to escape to. And there is so much to explore in this area!

Not sure if there are awards given for Airbnb’s but this property should be considered. I’ve been using this site since 2012 and this might be the best rental I’ve stayed in. Lots of thoughtful touches.

This property ranks as one the best located I’ve stayed in! Water access, lake front patio with BBQ, areas to walk close by and very central for day cycling trips in most parks & most directions. Cleverly designed and beautifully decorated to provide a relaxing yet efficient stay, including innumerable extras in the kitchen! The loft bedroom with full lake views and a balcony is one you really don’t want to leave unless you absolutely have to take a day cycling trip!!! Due to the insane heatwave last week, one of our AC units became overwhelmed and our Host fixed the problem immediately! Melissa was simply as helpful and as knowledgeable and as proactive as a Host can be - a real tribute to AIRBNB!!!!

LaPerla was an excellent choice to stay for my nephew's wedding! Melissa was amazing to deal with and the home was perfect for our stay. It was so peaceful and relaxing, I would definitely go back again during a different season.

Also if you get a chance to do a private dinner with chef John, do it. He is incredible and will make you whatever you want and cater to your needs. All in all, I highly recommend this listing, you won't be disappointed.

What a gem! We had a wonderful stay and felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The views were amazing, the house was incredibly well stocked, and we loved the homemade pancake mix for a special breakfast treat. Thoughtful touches throughout made this a truly memorable stay. La Perla was absolutely gorgeous! The inside of the home is filled with such unique and beautiful antiques. The kitchen is a chef’s dream, with very cool lighting. Thoroughly enjoyed cooking in and enjoying the wonderful lake view. Loved hanging out in the daytime on the deck and the use of the fire pit in the evening. The upstairs master bedroom and bathroom with combined office was AMAZING!! Melissa was very responsive and was wonderful with shopping and dining recommendations. She left us some delicious cheese and wine, even providing cream, eggs, butter and homemade pancake mix. Truly one of a kind property, and one of the best Airbnbs I have visited. Highly recommend!

This is our 3rd time back and each time gets better! The hosts were so accommodating and helpful to the needs of our group. They went above and beyond to make us feel right at home and enjoy all the house has to offer! We love being right on the water but only minutes away from the activities and delicious restaurants Kingsville has to offer! We will definitely be back!

We just stayed for 2 nights at La Perla and did not want to leave! It was absolutely beautiful, French Farmhouse Chic done perfectly. It was so comfortable, especially the bed and sectional, we felt right at home! We were left some local wine and cheese and crackers, very thoughtful. I can't think of anything more that Melissa could do to make people's stay better. We highly recommend staying here. Thank you Melissa for sharing your amazing home!

Had a sister’s getaway over Mother’s Day weekend. La Perla is lovely. From the moment you step through the door, welcoming offerings greeted us on the gorgeous wood dining table. The finishes at La Perla are top-notch comfortably chic. The stylish living areas envelope you in comfort and coziness. The kitchen is very well-equipped. Gas cook-top is commercial quality. Farm fresh milk, eggs and butter were in the fridge to add to a homemade ready-make pancake recipe. So fun to make with my sister for Mother’s Day breakfast. Bed linens, pillows and beds are so comfortable. Bath towels are high quality and everything is clean, clean, clean. The seating area by the lake is peaceful and the outdoor furnishings are well thought out and comfortable. The cherry on top is the host. So responsive to my questions, and made excellent recommendations. I could tell it was important that their guests enjoy their time at La Perla. We certainly did. Thank you!

This is one of my favourite AirBnbs that I’ve ever stayed in. The place is so unique and even better than the pictures. It’s exceptionally clean, the beds are very comfortable and the living area has more than enough space for 4 adults. My favourite part is the backyard with the beautiful water view and fire pit. It’s less than a 5 minute drive to the main street with lots of restaurant choices and 15 mins to an abundance of wineries. Melissa is very responsive, kind and helpful. The goodies were very thoughtful and appreciated. Don’t hesitate to book!

The Pearl is a beautiful experience. Being there feels like I'm in another country, like the south of France. It is cozy, chic, and elegant. A gorgeous and peaceful spot. Melissa is a the kindest and most thoughtful hostess.

La Perla was a dream. We had the most magical Christmas at Melissa's place. Such a quaint and French-chic dwelling. The hosts even left us special treats and accommodated our making a turkey dinner for my parents. I've never felt more welcome. Thank you.

The moment we walked in, we knew we’d found the perfect spot. We were welcomed with a lovely birthday card and local wine.

The home is even better than the photos. Beautifully decorated, spotless and incredibly cosy with super comfortable furniture and linens. The kitchen is fully stocked with quality appliances, pans, beautiful dishes and thoughtful extras like popcorn, chocolate and sodas. We loved the drink station.  Great water pressure, and the candlelit bath with salts and bubbles was bliss. Sitting by the fire, reading with that stunning view, and sleeping deeply made it hard to leave. We stayed in December, but the garden and fairy lights look magical for warmer months. A brisk but peaceful walk on the beach was a bonus.

Melissa was super helpful and responsive.  She and Lou have curated an exquisite experience. 

This place feels like a hug.  If you’re looking for serenity in a cosy, beautiful and serene place, you’ve found it. Truly heavenly!

The place was absolutely stunning ! The pictures don’t do it any justice. Watching the sunset and sunrise from either the back door or the balcony of the master bedroom was breathtaking. If you are looking for a getaway for you and a special person this is the place ❤️ The host also left snacks and beverages which made for the perfect little touch.

We absolutely loved this home right on the water! We loved the decor, such great antiques ! We found it to be peaceful, quiet, and inviting. We enjoyed the views from the upstairs bedroom and the living room. Though there are neighbours on both sides, it feels so secluded like there was no one for miles. The hostess was so helpful with her suggestions for wineries which we appreciated. Would definitely stay here again!

If you’re looking for a relaxing romantic getaway, that feels and looks like a European cottage vacation spot, then this is the place. My husband and I rented “La Perla” for a long weekend to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary and we both were so impressed. Every detail in this cottage you can tell is so intentional, beautiful/rustic in the homiest way. We’ve traveled a lot and stayed many places across Europe and it really does feel like you’re tucked away in Provins France. We loved the warmth of the wood and the Hygge elements of the clean white linens. The location is great. Easy check in and access from the highway. We brought our bikes and biked into town for a flight at a brewery and to grab a bite to eat. The lake view is so calming. We loved having tea by the water in the morning. Our host was so sweet and friendly and made our anniversary weekend feel so very special. Truly a charming spot, I intend to rebook, I’m sure it’ll be absolutely stunning in the winter.
